Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla Brings on Corporate Attorney Evan Bakhet Evan X. Bakhet

Evan X. Bakhet has joined Giordano, Halleran & Cieslav in Red Bank as an associate in the corporate and business practice group. He previously was a corporate associate at Baker & Hostetler in New York. Bakhet has handled mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, securities reporting and SEC compliance, corporate governance, ongoing operations and general corporate matters. He has handled buyer- and seller-side M&A for clients in a range of industries, including insurance, financial services, waste management, renewable energy, regional banking and technical education. Bakhet earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School in Newark in 2017 and his B.A. from Boston College in 2014. He is an alumnus of and mentor in the Rutgers Law Minority Student Program, as well as an alumnus and member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society. While in law school, Bakhet was a legal honors intern with the Securities & Exchange Commission, Division of Enforcement, in New York. He is admitted in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia, and his admission is pending in Alaska. He is a member of the New York State and American bar associations. Paul T. Colella, co-managing shareholder, said in a statement that Bakhet’s ”broad knowledge of corporate and securities law and experience in mergers and acquisitions will be an asset to our corporate and securities law department and to our firm as a whole.”
