Edward P. Capozzi has been installed as the 59th president of the New Jersey Association for Justice on June 11 at the annual installation. The event was held virtually as a Zoom meeting. He will serve a one-year term as president. “I am honored to take on this leadership role,” Capozzi said in a statement. “I am committed to NJAJ’s mission of fighting for justice for all and will pursue that effort with the same passion and energy as I have done throughout my life in every aspect of my life.” Capozzi is a partner and personal injury practice chair at Brach Eichler in Roseland, focusing on auto, trucking, public transit, products liability and catastrophic personal injury cases. Other NJAJ officers were installed during the event: Kathleen M. Reilly, president-elect (Brady Brady & Reilly, Kearny); James S. Lynch, first vice president (Lynch Law Firm, Hasbrouck Heights); Patricia M. Giordano, second vice president (Feldman Shepherd, Philadelphia); Adam B. Lederman, third vice president (Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, Teaneck); Jonathan H. Lomurro, treasurer (Lomurro, Monson, Comer, Brown and Schottland, Freehold); Richard J. Albuquerque, secretary (D’Arcy Jones Day Lawyers, Egg Harbor Township); Diane L. Cardoso, assistant secretary (Javerbaum Wurgaft Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins, Jersey City); K. Raja Bhattacharya, parliamentarían (Bendit Weinstock, West Orange); Lynne M. Kizis, state delegate (Wilentz Goldman & Spitzer, Woodbridge); and Tracey C. Hinson, AAJ Minority Caucus representative (Hinson Snipes, Princeton). The NJAJ was founded in the 1940s as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America-New Jersey. NJAJ is a statewide association, with headquarters in Trenton, of more than 2,700 members in private practice and public service, paralegals, law clerks, law students and law school graduates not yet admitted to the bar.

Ginarte, Gallardo, Gonzalez & Winograd provided more than 1,000 families with needed groceries at the firm’s headquarters in Newark on June 13, the firm said in an announcement. “We saw firsthand the countless families struggling due to the pandemic. They were waiting in endless lines to obtain food to feed their loved ones. The firm decided to take action, assisting those who need help the most. The Ginarte Law Firm will continue our mission of helping those in need so our community can grow and prosper for future generations,” said founding partner Joseph Ginarte in a statement. Additionally, the firm has partnered with a local community nonprofit to provide 400 hot meals weekly at nearby locations, the announcement noted. “The Ginarte Law Firm continues to work with community partners to ensure vulnerable people do not go hungry and work tirelessly to support those we serve,” Ginarte said in the statement.
