Daria Anne Venezia, a partner at Venezia & Nolan in Woodbridge, was installed as the Middlesex County Bar Association’s 105th president on May 22 at The Park Chateau in East Brunswick. Her practice encompasses real estate transactions, estate planning and administration, and guardianships. Venezia also serves as general counsel, special counsel and tax appeal counsel for various government entities. She earned her B.A. from Boston College and her J.D. from Boston College Law School. She also received an L.LM. in taxation from Boston University Law School. Other officers sworn in on May 22 included: Eugene S. Wishnic, president-elect; Edward Testino, first vice president; John F. Gillick, second vice president; Megha R. Thakkar, treasurer; and Marc S. Gaffrey, secretary. Shamy Jr.  of Shamy & Shamy in New Brunswick was installed as the Middlesex County Bar Foundation’s 29th president. He is the managing and senior partner at his firm. He practices primarily plaintiff’s personal injury litigation. Shamy obtained his B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1976 and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1979. He was admitted to the Venezia, Wildstein and Sharmy Honored by Middlesex Bar George J. Shamy Jr.

New Jersey bar and the U.S. District Court of New Jersey bar in 1979. He was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1992.  Other officers of the Bar Foundation also sworn in on May 22 included: Elliot S. Solop, president-elect; David B.
