The deal values Newsday at $632 million; Tribune also will receive $18 million at closing in prepaid rent for properties used in the business. Also, Hewlett-Packard Co. has agreed to buy Electronic Data Systems Corp. for $13.9 billion, a move that will more than double its technology services business.
