The deal will allow Johnson & Johnson to expand its consumer products presence. Also, the Kerr-McGee Corp., one of the largest independent oil and natural gas exploration companies in the United States, was acquired by Anadarko Petroleum Corp. in a deal worth approximately $18 billion.
