ALBANY – In a State of the State address centered on the events of Sept. 11, Governor Pataki yesterday renewed his call for reform of the Rockefeller Drug Laws.

Yesterday’s speech to a joint session of the Legislature and the Court of Appeals marked the second consecutive year that the Governor has used the State of the State to showcase what he characterized as an “outdated” drug statute. Inclusion of any issue in the State of the State is usually an indication that it ranks fairly high on the Governor’s agenda.
