A state appeals court has limited claims brought by an entrepreneur who sued Urban Compass, the apartment search website, for allegedly stealing proprietary information he says helped boost the company’s value to $360 million in 2014.
The Appellate Division, First Department, unanimously reversed in part a 2015 ruling in Dorfman and RentJolt, Inc. v. Reffkin, 652269/14, from Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Jeffrey Oing.
