Brooklyn federal prosecutors said Tishman Construction Corporation, a high profile building company involved in projects like the World Trade Center Towers, has admitted to fraudulently overbilling clients for a 10-year period and will pay more than $20 million in restitution and penalties.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District filed fraud charges against the construction company, which accepted responsibility in a deferred prosecution agreement. Both the charges and the agreement were filed Thursday.
