• Steptoe & Johnson has added Wendell Willkie II as of counsel, advising clients on corporate governance, global compliance and international transactions. Willkie joins Steptoe from MeadWestvaco, where he was senior vice president, general counsel and secretary until the company’s merger in July with RockTenn to become WestRock. Also, Charles Michael has joined Steptoe as a partner in its complex commercial disputes group. He was a partner at Brune & Richard.
• David Kanfer has joined Morrison Cohen as a partner in its business litigation department. Kanfer was a partner in the litigation and dispute resolution practice of Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt.
