The receiver appointed to protect the firm assets in the bitter breakup of Napoli Bern Ripka Shkolnik accused partner Paul Napoli Thursday of “thwarting the letter and spirit” of his directions, and asked the court to revoke Napoli’s access to partnership funds.

Former Nassau County Justice Ira Warshawsky was appointed temporary receiver last November by Commercial Division Justice Eileen Bransten, who is overseeing Napoli v. Bern, 159576/2014. Warshawsky said in an affidavit that Napoli had used law firm credit cards to run up $50,000 in bills “for seemingly non-partnership expenses, such as travel expenses incurred by plaintiff’s wife.”
