Starting Monday, attorneys practicing in the Southern District will be required to file new civil actions electronically using the district’s Electronic Case Filing System (ECF).
Attorneys admitted to the Southern District who are registered ECF users, or those who seek admission pro hac vice, will open their cases and pay their fees online. Summonses will be requested through the system and, in response, summonses suitable for printing will be issued through the system.
