A new judge will decide if Jesse Friedman’s 27-year-old conviction for child sex abuse should stand.

Acting Nassau County Supreme Court Justice Teresa Corrigan, in a decision released Wednesday, said “there is now a potential appearance” for her impartiality to be questioned when considering Friedman’s claim of innocence. Although she had rejected a previous recusal request, she granted a renewed motion, saying she was “now confronted with two additional concerns.”
