A Bronx judge has denied a bid by a man convicted of murder to suppress a photo array and other evidence arising from a police stop that the man argued was illegal, ruling that the stop was legal and that even if it hadn’t been, the identifying information still could have been used.

The July 7 opinion from Supreme Court Justice Barbara Newman (See Profile) in People v. Ramirez, 1320/11, laid out the reasons for an oral ruling she gave in March denying a suppression motion brought by the defendant, Yenfri Ramirez.
