Standing on the steps of City Hall Friday were the attorneys for five men who reached a $40.7 million settlement last week with New York City on an 11 year-old lawsuit over their imprisonment for the 1989 rape and beating of the Central Park jogger—a crime committed by another man. From left, Jonathan Moore, Evelyn Warren, Michael Warren and Roger Wareham before a press conference with supporters and family members of Kharey Wise, Yusef Salaam, Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson and Raymond Santana; the latter two spoke at the event. Southern District Judge Deborah Batts still must approve the settlement.
