ALBANY – An attorney and her husband, a disbarred lawyer, have been ordered to pay $6,997 in legal fees and other costs related to a suit they brought against a state judge from Delaware County, a federal judge has determined.
Chief Northern District Judge Gary Sharpe (See Profile) said the suit, Neroni v. Becker, 3:12-cv-1226, was so “completely without merit” that it triggered the assessment of attorney fees and court costs allowed under 28 U.S.C. §1927 against Frederick Neroni and his counsel and wife, Tatiani Neroni.
