A judge has refused to suppress post-arrest admissions of a man accused of plotting to have a federal judge and prosecutor killed.

Prosecutors say Joseph Romano, already incarcerated after pleading guilty in a coin fraud case, unsuccessfully tried to have Eastern District Judge Joseph Bianco and Assistant U.S. Attorney Lara Gatz beheaded for their roles in his case. Romano argued his post-arrest statements had to be suppressed because, among other reasons, they were coerced.
