ALBANY – A state appeals court has backed a judge's decision to revoke the pistol permit of a man who the judge said became "overly emotional, obstreperous and acrimonious" at a hearing to get the license back.

A unanimous Appellate Division, Third Department, panel upheld Ulster County Judge Donald Williams' finding that Harold Hahn lacked the "self control necessary to carry a weapon" based on Williams' observation of the man during the 2012 hearing.
