A state appellate panel has reinstated a suit accusing Gerald Barandes, a Westchester attorney, of using "undue influence" to get a client of more than 20 years to give him $1 million shortly before his death.

The Appellate Division, First Department, ruled on April 23 in Matter of Schneiderman, 736/10, that Manhattan Surrogate Kristin Booth Glen (See Profile) should not have granted summary judgment to Barandes against claims of undue influence and constructive fraud by the client’s widow.
