A judge has given parole officials until tomorrow to respond to allegations that they illegally denied release to former political consultant Hank Morris, who is serving a 1 1/3-to-four-year sentence for securities fraud. Morris, who had been a top aide to state Comptroller Alan Hevesi, has been before the parole board five times, filed three administrative appeals and is on his third Article 78 petition raising an issue that Justice Richard Mott (See Profile) of Columbia County said has "repeatedly evaded judicial review."
