When Daniel M. Boglioli joined Kaye Scholer more than 11 years ago, he brought both his litigation skills and his pro bono work ethic to the firm, so much so that his partners refer to him as the firm’s “de facto public interest attorney.”
When he was still an associate in 2007, Mr. Boglioli was asked to join Kaye Scholer’s pro bono committee and immediately assumed the leadership of the firm’s Social Security income disability and uncontested divorce projects. A year later, he was given responsibility for the post-release supervision project and then in 2010, at the request of the Legal Aid Society, chaired the firm’s Rockefeller resentencing project. Since 2007, Mr. Boglioli, now a partner, has devoted more than 1,800 hours to pro bono, according to his partner, Jay W. Waks. And he still manages to bill 2,600 hours a year.
