A former Brooklyn building superintendent has been denied whistleblower status for a claim that he was fired by the landlord for disclosing conditions that threatened the health and safety of the building’s occupants.

Melbourne Meade sued Run Realty LLC, the owner of the 74-unit apartment building at 178 Rockaway Parkway, alleging he was fired for turning on central heating when ordered not to and refusing to renovate a bathroom contaminated by lead paint.
