ALBANY – The state’s highest court yesterday reinstated a legal malpractice claim that was dismissed because the plaintiff, who was left unrepresented when his attorney’s law license was suspended, failed to timely serve his complaint on the defendant law firm.

A 7-0 Court of Appeals ruled that special latitude must be afforded to Joseph Moray because of the “unusual” circumstances surrounding his case against Koven & Krause of Manhattan.
