This year’s Law Day theme, “Law in the 21st Century: Enduring Traditions, Emerging Challenges,” resonates through our common heritage as lawyers, endeavoring to perpetuate both the defense of individual rights and liberty, so particular to the American system, and the orderly workings of societal interactions, which arise from the law’s earliest articulation.

This experience is thoroughly manifest in our Nassau County Bar Association, founded in 1899, which has enjoyed a rich history. Now the largest suburban bar association in the United States, its membership is vibrant and eager to continue its tradition of service to attorneys and the community.
