Two Brooklyn court officers have prevailed in a civil rights lawsuit over their arrest of a woman who refused to hand over her camera phone at a Civil Court security checkpoint.

Officers Melissa Coleman and Christopher Ferrari were sued under 42 U.S.C. §1983 for false arrest and unlawful imprisonment by Tahani Adonis, who was arrested twice in one day at the Civil Court on Livingston Street after allegedly refusing to surrender her phone or leave the building on Oct. 14, 2005.
