Three incumbent district attorneys lost reelection bids in New York, while a longtime Central New York DA won his ninth term based on returns on Wednesday.

The nod for Onondaga County DA again went to Republican William Fitzpatrick, who claimed nearly 60% of the vote, nearly 20,000 votes more than longtime criminal defense lawyer Charles A. Keller III, a Democrat. Christine Varga, a Conservative Party candidate who’s a retired assistant prosecutor, finished a distant third.
