What are some of your proudest recent achievements? My firm recently won a groundbreaking $11.25 million jury verdict in a single-plaintiff employment discrimination case against Equinox, the luxury gym chain. I am obviously proud of the verdict, but I’m even more proud of how we got there. We created a beautiful set of charts summarizing the trial data that we workshopped endlessly until they made everything really simple and clear for the jury. We conducted countless practice examinations, complete with costumes, with my entire team playing the roles of various witnesses.

It is standard after a large jury verdict for the court to cut down the award. One of my colleagues at the firm, Julia Elmaleh-Sachs, is leading an advocacy committee with the National Employment Lawyers Association, working on legislative reform to curb the practice. We also tracked down all of the jurors and submitted affidavits from them explaining what a disservice to their hard work it would be to slash the verdict. I am proud to always be trying creative and groundbreaking strategies in service of our clients.
