A western New York judge said Friday she has learned a “harsh lesson” after coming under fire for reported profane and inappropriate remarks on social media, including a post that bragged about “ripping apart” a witness on cross-examination, and another that ogled about a fellow military veteran’s body.

The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct, in an 8-0 vote, recommended that Darien Town Justice Jennifer R. Nunnery be censured.
