Judge Betty E. Staton, president of Brooklyn Legal Services and former Family Court judge has received the Haywood Burns Memorial Award, the New York State Bar Association announced Tuesday.
Staton was selected to be honored for her lifetime commitment to serving and empowering underprivileged communities and people of color, according to the NYSBA.
