Twice a year, the American Bar Association (ABA) House of Delegates considers and votes on resolutions that formulate and set policy for the ABA.

At the recent ABA mid-year meeting in New Orleans, the House of Delegates discussed and adopted by a unanimous vote Resolution 604 which proposes guidelines for counsel and clients involved in the development and use of artificial intelligence (AI). The guidelines are intended to enhance AI, reduce its inherent risks, and facilitate the development and use of AI in a trustworthy and responsible manner.
