The U.S. Senate confirmed a Connecticut Supreme Court associate justice to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
By a vote of 51-42, Justice Maria Araújo Kahn was greenlighted to join the New York-based appeals court. Kahn spent most of her legal career in federal prosecutor’s offices in Connecticut before being elevated to state Superior Court in 2006. She was appointed to the state’s highest court in 2017.
