Just two years removed from helping Protect the Adirondacks win a historic case heard by the New York Court of Appeals, environmental attorney Claudia Braymer has been hired as the nonprofit organization’s part-time deputy director, with plans for her to become its eventual executive director.

Braymer helped “Protect” overcome a state plan to cut down 25,000 trees to build a network of extra-wide snowmobile trails in the Adirondacks.
