Trump Organization attorney Alan Futerfas on Thursday began cross-examining his client’s former chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg, who quickly became emotional as Futerfas asked him if he felt embarrassed and ashamed for committing tax crimes.

Weisselberg, who has pleaded guilty to 15 counts including larceny and tax fraud and is testifying as part of his obligations under a plea agreement with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, told Futerfas he betrayed the Trump Organization’s trust in him.
