The jury in the case against Ghislaine Maxwell, the late Jeffrey Epstein’s close confidant, on Wednesday entered its sixth day of deliberations as Southern District of New York Judge Alison Nathan indicated that they may be required to continue their work through New Year’s Day.

In response to a note from jurors asking if they will have to continue their work through the holiday, Nathan replied that they were—unless any of them faced a “substantial hardship” because of immovable commitments, the Associated Press reports.
