What are some of the firm’s most satisfying successes of the past year and why? Across Latham’s litigation and trial department, we’re proud of how we responded to the challenges of COVID-19 to seamlessly move almost overnight to a fully remote work model while still providing the same best-in-class service to our clients in their most challenging disputes. We are trial lawyers, and we play to win—so the fantastic wins our New York-based litigators and colleagues around the globe achieved for clients during the past year were especially satisfying. Our New York litigators played leading roles in a range of high-profile cases for clients such as Twitter, GE, Funko, BMW, the U.S. Soccer Federation, and Facebook, to name a few. And we won a widely reported pro bono case involving a voting rights federal bench trial followed by a strong Second Circuit victory, restoring the voting rights of Black and Latinx community members in East Ramapo, N.Y.

We pride ourselves on the fact that at every stage of litigation, whatever the venue, whatever the dispute, we draw from a constellation of litigation stars to match the right skill and experience to the fight at hand. That we were able to continue to deliver this level of service and success to clients as they faced the dual challenges of litigation and all of the other complications that the last year brought with it, is a powerful testament to the strength of our team.
