In-house counsel at the New York Times filed a Freedom of Information Act suit against the U.S. Department of State Monday in New York Southern District Court. The complaint, which arises from the 2018 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, seeks licensing records pertaining to Tier 1 Group’s training of Saudi Royal Guards in paramilitary tactics between 2014 and 2017.
