Former assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York Andrey Spektor began work Tuesday as a partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, where he joined the firm’s growing global Litigation & Investigations Department.

Spektor, who grew up in Russia and has used his fluency in Russian to interview witnesses, said BCLP’s international presence was a major draw. The firm in the fall announced a new strategic plan that focuses on elevating its work in real estate, corporate and finance transactions and litigation and investigations.
