The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday dismissed as moot former President Donald Trump’s challenge to a federal appeals court ruling that barred him from blocking certain critics from following his Twitter account.

The decision remanded the case to the U.S. Court of Appeals for Second Circuit, which found in 2019 that Trump’s Twitter account qualified as a “public forum” under the First Amendment and that the former president had acted unlawfully in blocking users that were critical of his presidency.
