New York’s chief judge says people are still showing up for grand jury duty despite the coronavirus pandemic.

Chief Judge Janet DiFiore said in her weekly report on court administration that more than 1,700 people showed up for grand jury duty in New York City courthouses during a recent week in August. She says that figure is “only slightly lower” than response rates before the coronavirus pandemic.
