New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said the state will be releasing coronavirus protocols for gyms Aug. 17, a move that comes after growing frustration and several lawsuits from gym owners over their inability to reopen under the state’s coronavirus restrictions.
Every part of New York is now in the fourth and final stage of the state’s economic reopening plan, yet gyms are not listed among the businesses allowed to reopen in that phase.
