With classes pushed online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is being sued by students who want a refund after being denied on-campus learning experiences.

The federal lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York on Monday by two engineering students. They argue the university, based in Troy, marketed an on-campus experience, even going so far as to require first- and second-year students to live on campus.
