Acting Queens District Attorney John Ryan Will Resign in January

Once a new district attorney takes office in Queens on Jan. 1, acting District Attorney John Ryan plans leave the office, according to a statement from his office Tuesday.

Ryan served as chief assistant district attorney for 22 years under longtime DA Richard Brown. In March 2019, Brown designated Ryan to step in to his place because he was facing serious health issues.
