In a policy reform that follows a trend occurring in certain jurisdictions across the country, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office recently stopped prosecuting certain low-level marijuana offenses.
The office implemented changes to its prosecutorial policy so that people caught possessing 2 ounces or less of marijuana will generally not be prosecuted, according to an announcement by Westchester DA Anthony Scarpino, Jr.
