The New York judge overseeing Donald Trump’s impending criminal trial has issued a limited gag order in the case—precluding the former president from speaking about witnesses, court staff, and other individuals.

Acting Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan in a Tuesday order barred the former president from speaking publicly about prosecutors and court staff, their families, known or foreseeable witnesses, or prospective jurors or seated jurors in the case. The ruling does not apply to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who is prosecuting the case.
