Large law firms are continuing to hire partners in their energy, regulatory and renewables practices, as recent federal legislation and regulatory changes fuel more demand in Big Law. In the latest moves, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman and Vinson & Elkins added energy partners in Washington, D.C., this week.

Pillsbury brought on tax attorney Don Lonczak, who focuses on tax credits and incentives for renewable energy, as a partner in its global energy transition team. Lonczak joins from Bracewell, where he worked with clients on qualification requirements for new tax credits made available under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, the firm said.
