Legal tech companies may not be ready to say goodbye to office spaces just yet, but pandemic-forced lessons in the viability of remote working have left some more open to the prospect of hiring talented professionals outside of their immediate jurisdiction. However, the geographical expansion to a national—and, in some cases, even global—talent pool will likely mean increased competition for employees and employers alike.

Still, that’s unlikely to stop some legal tech companies from opening up their ranks to out-of-town hires. Brian Meegan, director of sales and marketing at ProSearch, previously told Legaltech News that while the company is expecting to return to the office in full post-pandemic, the overall effectiveness of the last few months of remote working has made a permanent impact on the company’s hiring outlook.
