The COVID-19 pandemic has helped to drive the adoption and use of technology across the legal ecosystem. But for young e-discovery professionals, a familiarity with artificial intelligence, contract tech or just innovation in general can potentially help to bump them up the pay scale alongside more experienced colleagues.

In early March, Women in eDiscovery released its 2019 Salary Survey, which showed that the size of an e-discovery professional’s salary generally correlated to their years of experience. However, Beth Finkle, executive director of Women in eDiscovery, told LTN that she believed that trend could begin reversing itself to favor young e-discovery professionals with a better handle on technological or workflow innovations.
