Age is just a number—but when that number has a dollar sign in front of it, people tend to pay attention. Nonprofit organization Women in eDiscovery released its 2019 Salary Survey last week, and the results show a trend common in just about every other industry: The more experience one has, the more money they are able to command. But the quick-changing nature of technology inside the e-discovery sphere may shake up that paradigm.
The survey originally garnered more than 400 responses from international e-discovery professionals working for governments, corporate legal departments, law firms and vendors. Among those respondents, 93% identified as female, which were the demographic focused on for the purposes of the report.
