There's just one continent where Dentons hasn't formed a partnership with a local law firm in the last six months: Antarctica.
In Africa, on the other hand, the the world's largest law firm continued its global expansion on Wednesday, announcing plans to merge with firms in Angola, Morocco, Mozambique, Uganda and Zambia. The announcement comes on the heels of the firm's recent combinations with firms in South Korea, Honduras, Uruguay and New Zealand. The firm also added capability in Italy, looking to launch a U.S./Italy cross-border practice in June.
The new partnership firms are: LEAD Advogados in Angola; Sayarh & Menjra in Morocco; Fernanda Lopes & Associados Advogados in Mozambique; Kyagaba and Otatiina Advocates in Uganda; and Eric Silwamba, Jalasi and Linyama Legal Practitioners in Zambia.

The complaint was filed Aug. 27 in Delaware District Court by DLA Piper on behalf of Canada-based Tigercat Industries and centers on the plaintiff's 'Tigercat' marks for off-road industrial vehicles. Redding of Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders have entered appearances for Ocugen Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, and its current and former top executives in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The court action, filed July 17 in Pennsylvania Eastern District Court by Hynes Keller & Hernandez, the Rosen Law Firm and the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Priyank Garg and Melissa Voter, accuses the defendants of making misleading statements about Ocugen’s business, operations and prospects and failing to disclose that Ocugen did not have adequate internal controls.
