Q: What are some of the department’s most satisfying successes of the past year and why?
A: We’ve had a number of trials where we were successful, and these trials involved standard form policies that had implications for the whole insurance industry. These cases went up through the appellate process, and three of them went before various state supreme courts. One in Delaware Supreme Court, one with New York Court of Appeals, and the other was with the New Jersey Supreme Court, and we were successful in all three.
