When Georgia judges are named in ethics complaints for alleged violation of the Georgia Code of Judicial Conduct, the Judicial Qualifications Commission of Georgia conducts investigates.

The Daily Report analyzed judicial misconduct investigated by the JQC between Jan. 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022. Over the 15-month period, 15 Georgia judges underwent ethics probes. At least nine of those judges resolved their investigations by consenting to judicial discipline or resigning the bench. Meanwhile, half a dozen Georgia judges formally charged in ethics complaints remain under investigation.
